I’m planning on visiting couple of cities on the West Coast for my winter break and can’t quite decide which ones. My original plan was to go from Washington DC (where I live) to San Francisco, from there to Los Angeles, than to Las Vegas and finish the tour in New York for New Year. Any suggestions? I’ll be probably staying about 4 days in each of them. Which city would you recommend as a must see, something I should definitely include in my list? I have no idea what’s good so your suggestions are much appreciated!

You have an excellent list of cities to visit. They all have their own special character. Don’t miss Lombard street, the cable cars, Chinatown, or Fisherman’s wharf in San Francisco. Visit Grauman’s chinese theater and the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. There are great shows, quality retaurants, and of course gambling in Las Vegas. Don’t miss Jersey Boys in New York (unless you already saw it at the National Theater in D.C.) Its a great show. Take the ferry out to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. Have fun!
